Makeup Preparation

  • Please arrive with clean face and hair. Feel free to follow your normal skincare regimen in preparation for your makeup booking.

  • All makeup needed will be provided for you. If you have a foundation you prefer to use you may bring it with you.

Booking

  • All bookings must be made at least 3 days in advance. The limit for booking is 1 year (365 days) in advance of your project or event.

    All bookings will require a completed contract and deposit in order to be secured. Deposit amounts are non-refundable. Deposit amount will be applied to the total amount due at time of invoice.

    Pre-payment in full will be required for online bookings. At this time our online bookings are on a per day basis. If you have an extended project you may book by the day using our online system. To have your booking manually confirmed and secured with a 35% deposit please fill out the contact form on our website or email shadeoffacefx@yahoo.com.

    Please read our cancellation policy prior to booking to understand and avoid any unnecessary penalty fees.

  • Please note that once you have booked Shade of Face FX it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. Should you need to cancel a booking the following policies apply.

    Standard Cancellations | 48 Hours Notice

    Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours prior to a scheduled booking. Cancellations made within 48 hour window are subject to the following basic penalty charges.

    Basic Penalty Charges: Consultation Bookings - $15 | On Set Bookings - $50 per day booked

    Late Cancellations | Less than 48 Hours Notice

    Cancellations made with less than 48 hours advance notice will incur a penalty of 50% of the total booking amount for the duration of the project. To avoid excessive penalty charges please be sure to cancel your booking at least 48 hours in advance.

    **In the event that Shade of Face FX is unable to perform services for any reason including but not limited to illness, accident, weather, etc., special accommodations will be made up to and including a full refund of deposits and services not provided.

    Natural to glam, for projects not requiring the use of SPFX

    • Up to 10 hours - no overnight • Includes Standard Kit Fee ($50)

    Standard Makeup | Day Extension $100

    • Up to 5 hours – no overnight

Tools & Equipment

  • Shade of Face FX takes your health and safety seriously, and works had to provide sanitary services for all clients.

    Brushes | Tools

    All makeup brushes are hand-washed using an organic oil based pure-castile soap after each use. All brushes used on any/all client(s) will be clean and sanitized with a light misting of 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. All makeup brushes will be used on a single client.

    Disposable makeup tools will be used for the following products: Mascara, Lipstick/gloss, cake eyeliner. All disposables will be disposed of after single application. There will be no “double dipping.”

    Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap Ingredients: Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Mentha Arvensis, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Mentha Piperita, Citric Acid, Tocopherol

    *CERTIFIED FAIR TRADE INGREDIENTS **None remains after saponifying oils into soap & glycerin.

    Cream | Powder Makeup Products

    All makeup will be sprayed with an instant makeup sanitizing spray before use on any/all client(s).

    Graftobian Makeup Sanitizing Spray Ingredients: SDA Alcohol 40-B 70% v/v, Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine

    Mixing Liquids | Water Activated Makeups

    Any liquids will be poured into portion cup prior to use. Any excess liquid will be thrown away.

    Water for makeup application will be clean and portioned per client. All makeup will be sprayed with an instant sanitizing spray prior to use.

  • Beauty Makeup Products

    All necessary makeup products will be provided by Shade of Face FX. Makeup products may include any/all of the following items dependent on the needs of application.

    • Cake eyeliners • Cream blushes • Cream eyeshadows • Cream foundations (flesh tones and colors) • Cream lipsticks • Eyelash adhesives • False eyelashes • Lip gloss • Liquid lipsticks • Mascara • Mixing liquids • Powder blushes • Powder eyeshadows • Setting powders • Water activated makeups •

    Tools | Equipment

    All necessary tools & equipment for makeup application will be provided by Shade of Face FX. Makeup tools and equipment may include any/all of the following items dependent on the needs of application.

    • Cotton balls • Cotton pads • Cotton swabs • Cucumber baby wipes • Disposable makeup applicators • Hand sanitizer • Isopropyl rubbing alcohol (70%, 91% and 99%) • Makeup removers • Plastic portion cups • Synthetic makeup brushes •

    Makeup Area | Equipment Setup

    Standard equipment that will be present in all makeup area setups include a folding directors chair, makeup light, folding light stand, mini power strip, rolling train cases (2), and folding tables (2). A small rolling cart may also be included in the standard gear to easily move equipment into the makeup area.

    A three prong outlet is requested for makeup area setups

  • SPFX Makeup Products

    All necessary makeup products will be provided by Shade of Face FX. Makeup products may include any/all of the following items dependent on the needs of application.

    • Adhesive removers • Alcohol activated palettes • Cake eyeliners • Cream blushes • Cream eyeshadows • Cream foundations (flesh tones and colors) • Cream lipsticks • Eyelash adhesives • False eyelashes • Hybrid airbrush paints (alcohol based) • Lip gloss • Liquid latex • Liquid lipsticks • Mascara • Mixing liquids • Platinum cure silicones • Powder blushes • Powder eyeshadows • Setting powders • Silicone adhesives • Silicone pigments • Spirit gum • Spirit gum remover • Stage blood • Water activated makeups •

    Tools | Equipment

    All necessary tools & equipment for makeup application will be provided by Shade of Face FX. Makeup tools and equipment may include any/all of the following items dependent on the needs of application.

    • Air compressor (with hose attachments) • Airbrush gun(s) • Cotton balls • Cotton pads • Cotton swabs • Cucumber baby wipes • Disposable makeup applicators • Hand sanitizer • Isopropyl rubbing alcohol (70%, 91% and 99%) • Makeup removers • Plastic portion cups • Synthetic makeup brushes •

Travel

  • Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Waukesha, Madison | Illinois - Chicagoland area

  • A travel fee of $30 per day will be added to invoices for locations requiring use of a toll road and/or a drive of more than 2 hours to reach.

  • Overnight | Extended Stays

    Projects requiring overnight and/or extended stays will require accommodations be provided by the client.

    A private bedroom with on site bathroom and shower are required. If accommodations are not available on location (if filming at personal home or air bnb), a basic hotel room within 15 minutes driving distance of base location will be charged to the client for the duration of the project.

    All travel arrangements must be secured prior to arrival on first day of project work.
